Idili plates have small holes (similar to the dokla plates) in the center in addition to the side holes which leads to leakage of batter. so we should use a cloth or silicone idili mould to avoid leakage. The kadai is more suitable for iddiyappam. The quality of the product is also good. It's also over rated. We can get more plates with the same quality in cheaper rates in other brands.
